By utilising our wide format printer, laminator and laser cutter together we are able to supply full colour printed designs in rigid materials. This listing is popular for signage and promotional items (e.g. coasters, fridge magnets etc).
For processing 'Print and Cut' items please note the following points in conjunction with designing your artwork.
- Design file must include 3 layers,
- Layer 1 - Registration Marks (at least 4 black circles approx 8mm in size)
- Layer 2 - Cut Lines (Red)
- Layer 3 - Artwork (RGB or CMYK)
When designing your file you may wish to consider different cut contour styles to best suit your required output. We typically recommend either a outboard cut line or a design that includes a bleed (these two methods add some tolerance to the cut /print alignment).
- Sheet Size and Useable Area
This product is offered in one sheet size 600mm x 400mm, with a useable print/design area of 580mm x 380mm, please ensure your design fits within these limits.
Our print and cut boards comprise of a top layer of printed vinyl (in matt or gloss finish) which we laminate to a rigid substrate (mdf or plywood [lacquered to ensure good adhesion]). Processing with the laser will create small burn marks to the rear of the design, we can minimise this by adding masking before cutting, but please note parts will be shipped with this masking on and will require removal on receipt.
We can also add masking to the top face (by default we wipe this clean after cutting) but recommend masking only for intricate designs where the risk of scorch marks is high (e.g. laser paths very close to each other).
